BAA gate: ranking requires a publicly documented BAA. That gate decides whether a vendor is ranked; it does not add or remove points. (Separately, a documented BAA is one 5-point item under Privacy.) Yes. A BAA is available for every practice, and the telehealth page says a signed BAA is included with every paid plan [2][3]. PMHScribe is ranked #9 among vendors with a documented BAA.

Research scores are not clinical performance scores. They rate what each vendor publicly documents about pricing, EHR integration, privacy and security, specialty fit and workflow features. They do not measure note accuracy, clinical safety or patient outcomes, and we did not test any product hands-on. How research scores work

What changed
  • 2026-10-17: Dates: the page now shows Page updated (the last edit to this page) and Vendor facts verified (2026-10-23, the newest check of PMHScribe's official pages, from the dated Sources list) instead of one date, and a note explains that research scores are not clinical performance scores. Scores, ranks and facts unchanged.
  • 2026-10-23: Initial review published, score 60/100, rank #9.

Pricing

Two published plans: $79/month or $799/year for therapists, social workers, mental health counselors and psychologists (psychotherapy, DAP and BIRP notes, letters and statements) and $99/month or $999/year for psychiatrists, psychiatric NPs and physician associates (initial psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy add-ons, letters, orders, ICD) [1][2]. Every plan includes a signed HIPAA BAA [2]. Group coupon codes and an enterprise tier for 50+ clinicians are offered; group prices are not published [1]. Free trial with no credit card [1]. Contract and renewal terms were not reviewed for this page: ask vendor. Ask vendor

EHR integration depth

PMHScribe uses a copy-and-paste workflow into any EHR; the FAQ says two direct integrations are pending, and API integrations and plugins are described as planned [4]. No Epic or other named native integration is published.

Security and privacy

PMHScribe says it does not save or store an audio recording, hosts on AWS, encrypts data with 256-bit AES at rest, offers two-factor authentication, keeps audit logs, and limits access to verified licensed providers [2]. It says customer data is not used to train AI models [2]. Notes and transcripts are kept until you delete them; nothing is deleted automatically [2]. No SOC 2 or HITRUST report is published: ask vendor. Ask vendor

Specialty suitability

Built for psychiatry and mental health: prebuilt psychiatric templates, SOAP, DAP and BIRP notes, an Imminent Risk Assessment section, psychotherapy notes kept separate from the chart note, and psychotherapy add-on notes for 90833, 90836 and 90838 [1][2][3]. 42 CFR Part 2 controls are not described: ask vendor. Workflow and UX

Runs in the browser (Chrome recommended) and in an iOS and iPad app [4][5]. Works alongside any telehealth platform and documents telehealth attestation and asynchronous portal-message visits [3]. Generates ICD-10 and CPT codes, letters, statements and orders [1].
